Walteri Peacock Cichlid

Walteri Peacock Cichlid, also known as the Blue-Face Peacock, is a freshwater fish native to Lake Malawi's Chizumulu and Likoma Islands. Known for their vibrant colors, they are a popular choice for aquariums. 

Appearance: Males have a deep blue face and navy body, with some light shoulder coloring. Females are gray and barred. 

Size: Males can grow to over 4 inches, while females reach just over 3 inches. 

Temperament: Relatively peaceful and easy to care for. 

Diet: Carnivorous in the wild, but will eat anything in an aquarium. Can eat flake, live, or frozen food. 

Breeding: Moutbrooding and easy to breed. When preparing to breed, males become a deeper blue and the color extends further down their body. 

Lifespan: Up to 10 years.
