is a large, mildly aggressive, carnivorous Lake Malawi cichlid that grows 9–14 inches and requires a 90+ gallon tank with sandy substrate, rocky hiding spots, and high-quality filtration. Keep water at 74°-84°F ,ph 7.4 - 8.4, and perform regular, frequent water changes to maintain low nitrates.

- Tank Size: Minimum 75–90 gallons due to size and active swimming nature.
- Temperament: Mildly aggressive to aggressive; best kept with other large haplochromine cichlids.
- Diet: Carnivorous. Provide high-quality pellets, frozen bloodworms, krill, and shrimp.
